The new design is better; it doesn't have the rear rack (battery) welded onto the bike frame. So, no rear rack for me. Also, you can have the battery on the front basket only. Which I have. Because of all this, people don't know that I'm riding an electric bike until I start using it. It's a beautiful bike. I use it to work out. When I get tired, and want to go home, I go electric.
