I purchased my second Husky (first one was stolen) and although it was an expensive replacement, it is definitely worth the money. I am retired and do not own a car. Without this bike I would be relegated to riding public transportation and would lose a measure of independence. I purchased the Husky Plus for two reasons, it goes faster (20 mph) compared to the Husky, and it is much more stable than the Husky. Since the bike is prone to tip overs (more so than you might think on a trike, it is still an excellent ride. The Husky Plus has suspension and positraction for smooth riding over even the roughest city terrain. I keep the tires inflated to a higher level than recommended, however, since I am only riding on pavement and want to prevent "pinches" to the tubes from which I was getting flats.
My only complaint is that the throttle requires a bit of "effort" to stay engaged which is difficult for me with arthritis in my hands and wrists. I would like an "easier" throttle.
When using a trike for the very first time, practice turning in a safe place until you get the feel of the balance. You cannot corner on a trike like you can on a bicycle. That seems to be a no brainer, but in practice it is a new skill to learn.
I also attached a bike trailer to the Husky Plus for additional cargo space. Since this is a trike, it took some YouTube searching to find a solution for attaching the hitch. It is possible, but not easy. The Husky Plus is well able to pull the weight of a CostCo run, with no problem! I do notice that the battery exhausts a bit faster when I am pulling heavier cargo, but other than that, no complaints. My daily turn around (errands) with the trailer is typically less than 20 miles and on a dreary day with lights on, the batteries only drained to about 50% during the worst conditions. I purchased the premium accessories package and promptly threw the security cable away. My first bike used that cable and it was cut and the bike stolen in less than 2 minutes. I have since upgraded to all Kryptonite Chain and U-Lock security. I would recommend, if you live in an area where theft is a problem to not use any form of cable as they can easily be cut with just a pair of tin snips or a bolt cutter.
I love this bike so much, and will probably never own a car again and have been able to maintain my independence and mobility around town! I would likely recommend the Husky Plus to anyone that needs a bit more speed and a bit more of a powerhouse.
I took the Husky Plus on winding backroads and was amazed how the full suspension smoothed out every crack.The LCD color display was bright even under direct sunlight,and the brakes held steady while descending steep trails.Shipping was surprisingly fast,assembly took less than an hour,and the bike arrived spotless with no scratches at all.
